As a kid, my mom would take us to the Kerrville Folk Festival every summer, for several years in a row. In the documentary “Be There To Love Me”, he gives an interview at that festival during one of the years I was there. Oh the disappointment to know I was so close to such a legend and too young to know it.
But I suppose I can’t complain. I was the only 8 year-old I knew who had attended a hippie wedding in the woods. So that’s something.
