a tribute
it took ian approximately four seconds to settle into LA and make a name for himself and feel comfortable out there, and i’ll be the first to admit i miss the kid. it doesn’t make things any easier seeing pictures from some of the stuff they do, especially when some of things resemble stuff we used to do here, but on a much bigger, grander and more exciting scale. (see: the hotknife hits portrait). one of the things i’m most envious of is the now-five-week-old Adventure Friends group that sets out on an adventure every saturday. you can see a lot more pictures on ian’s facebook but this batch is one of my favorites (usually their ventures aren’t and relaxing, but after seeing this i’m already planning on buying a pool of my own).
all of this to say that ian sent me an adventure friends shirt today and it made my day and i plan on doing this thing justice! put the wheels in motion for a mass trip to LA. stay tuned, california.
