Here’s my shitty, zoomed-in photo of Paul McCartney getting his star in front of the Capital Records building. But whatever, I saw a Beatle today. What did you do?

I saw a documentary when I was a kid in which a scientist being interviewed broke this down and it blew my mind. I have been looking for that clip ever since, but this is almost as good. He put the history of the universe in terms of the 7 days of creation. It was just what a 10 year-old, Catholic school kid needed to hear: “1/400th of a second before midnight on the seventh day, Man created God.” Love it.

It’s dark times when you are working so late that it’s past bedtime for the Hollywood crazies.

Sometimes I had company, though.

I had two choices when I came down with a terrible fever on Friday, right before a planned trip to Palm Springs: stay at home in bed and miss all the fun; or go and merely observe the fun as I heal myself poolside.

I chose the latter. Obviously the better choice.

All I want to be doing is playing on the internet and posting bullshit on Smoke and a Coke, but I’m too busy making Final Cut sequences so disorganized and so complicated that no one but me could make sense of them.

That’s called Job Security.

I’m doing things all wrong.
